Speaking at Web Weekend Toronto

This Sunday, I presented a talk about social media for magazines at Magazines Canada’s Web Weekend event. This is my second year presenting at the Web Weekend series. Entitled, “Magazines2.0: The Sharing Revolution
Social media, the user and you” my talk focused on existing and emergent issues related to the both the publisher and reader of web2.0 publications.

Designed to address the concerns of non (and n00b) geek publishing professionals new to the attitudes, behaviours and needs of the web2.0 ‘user-reader,’ my presentation provides an overview of current challenges to adoption along with must-have features, key metrics and low to no cost social media solutions for independent, scholarly and commercial publications.
