Resting in Teldrassil

the break ... for graduate study and writing (continues) As much as I love writing in this blog, I am still on a break for graduate study, research projects and a book.

  • I hope this doesn’t mean you are taking a hiatus from your gaming – you’ll need the enjoyment/escape/recreation/potential research material!
    Congratulations on the well-deserved acceptance!

Awww thanks! Yes, there’s a reason I left gaming out of that post heh :)

Congratulations Melanie! I’m new to this area but after having attended a Second Life talk yesterday, it’s pretty clear how these environments can assist students previously excluded from traditional education venues. The challenge is getting educators to the table – it really requires us to think about what “learning” looks like (feels like, for whom, etc.) Your MA focus is really needed – I can’t wait to read your thesis and publications/blog posts that come out of your research.
